Why study Policing at the University of Cumbria?

We work in partnership with the College of Policing to ensure that the qualifications we offer fully meet the needs of our students, as well as the police service throughout England and Wales. Our original partnership with Cumbria Constabulary has evolved to a developing relationship with other forces around the country.

After establishing a close working relationship with the College when developing the first approved CKP in the HE sector, the university is now actively engaged in developing HE programmes that meet the future needs of the police service.

Our Policing team have a wealth of experience across the full spectrum of services including extensive practical experience and a strong background in academic and teaching practice. This means you'll receive the highest quality of teaching both at a practical and theoretical level as part of your course.
