The Business School is engaging with the business community in a number of ongoing initiatives and projects. Funding for these projects comes from a number of sources including European Regional Development Fund, North West Regional Development Agency, Learning & Skills Council, Technology Strategy Board, Sport England, Cumbria and Lancashire County Sport Partnerships and Higher Education Innovation Fund.
These projects are benefiting hundreds of individuals and businesses helping them to improve their key business skills and develop their business potential.
Across a range of projects delivered by the School 968 companies have been assisted, 294 jobs created and 186 jobs safeguarded. The impact on the economy has been significant with sales increased by £10,956,000 and £6,170,300 sales safeguarded.
