Managing the University of Cumbria

The university management operates at three levels:

Board of Directors

The University of Cumbria Board is responsible for the entire control and management of the new institution. They approve budgets and expenditure, and determine the educational character and objectives of the institution, as well as ensuring the effective and efficient use of the university’s resources.

Anyone wishing to contact the University Board of Directors, can do so through the Vice Chancellor’s Office in the first instance, by contacting Neil Harris at neil.harris@cumbria.ac.uk or Kath Leigh at kath.leigh@cumbria.ac.uk

University Executive Group

The University Executive Group meets every 3 weeks – with the exception of a couple of occasions a year when there are fortnightly meetings.

University Management Team

The University Management Team exercises executive responsibility for the delivery of the strategic and annual operational plan of the university.
