We are the biggest provider of health professionals in Cumbria and North Lancashire with an expert team of lecturers committed to providing you with the best grounding for your career. Our high standards mean we are top in the UK for graduate employment (National Student Survey 2010).
We offer courses in a range of subject areas including Pre-Registration and Learning Beyond Initial Registration Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Practice and Occupational Health.
We are situated on two main campus sites at Carlisle and Lancaster with additional teaching facilities at Barrow and Whitehaven. Our facilities include state-of-the-art skills laboratories, class rooms and lecture theatres.
Learning in Practice
We take particular pride in our partnership arrangements with our NHS, private and voluntary sector providers to support all of our students. We have a visible presence in the form of our link tutors in all of our practice areas. In addition our placements are supported by committed mentors in practice and the active engagement of practice placement facilitators to make sure that placement learning is as seamless as possible.
