Public and International Health
Public and International Health offers the opportunity for people with an appropriate educational background to register as associate students and undertake individual public health modules at undergraduate or postgraduate level. These modules may be of particular interest to those working in health, social care or the voluntary/community sector, but will also be relevant to anyone who wants to find out more about the factors which influence the health of communities both in this country and internationally.

Health Care Practice
This programme has been developed mindful of the political, professional and wider health care agendas, particularly the Darzi Report (2008) High Quality Care for All which highlighted the need for health professionals who can work together in multi-skilled teams, work across professional and organisational boundaries and utilise an integrated approach in the provision of expert, evidence based care.
Managing Health and Social Care
This course has been developed to facilitate the development of knowledge and skills in three specific areas: health assessment/ differential diagnosis/ clinical decision making, leadership and the adoption/ evaluation of evidence based practice.
International Health
By providing a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of international health this programme aims to meet the need for UK-based practitioners and students of public health to understand the international influences on public health in the UK and abroad. The programme also provides an opportunity for international students and practitioners to study, analyse and critically evaluate public health challenges in their own region and within an international context.
