March 2012
PE students worked with Sportivate to get young people into sport, local sports clubs tapped into our sport and exercise science students' expertise, two lecturers were elected to support an Olympic legacy and lecturer Mark Christie won the Vice Chancellor Teaching Excellence Award.

Our budding sports therapists lent their healing hands to the Great Cumbrian Run, Sport Studies students helped Lancaster walk to health and Coaching student, Robbie George, became Lancaster and District Coach of the Year.

As the academic year draws to a close, third-year students flexed their vocational skills by planning some special events for kids and adults alike, and raising money for charity.
