Board of Directors
The University of Cumbria Board is responsible for the entire control and management of the new institution. They approve budgets and expenditure; determine the educational character and objectives of the institution as well as ensure the effective and efficient use of the university’s resources.
The Board is made up of 21 members and is constituted in the following way:
1 member is the Vice Chancellor of the institution
1 is an elected University of Cumbria student
1 is an elected University of Cumbria staff member
7 are nominated by the Church of England
11 are independent appointments recruited through open application and cannot be University of Cumbria staff or students.
