Most of our campuses are located in North West England, in Carlisle, Penrith, Ambleside and Lancaster, with sites in Barrow and Whitehaven. In addition, we have a campus in East London offering teacher training courses. Every campus undergos a programme of constant refurbishment to ensure it offers excellent facilities.

Carlisle Campuses
Located close to the Lake District and the border with Scotland, Carlisle is attracting a growing number of students. Its lively and friendly atmosphere is combined with a great outdoor life. There are three main campuses, all within walking distance of the town centre and all with facilities that are maintained to a very high standard. Every student has access to the special facilities at Fusehill Street—the newly opened Learning Gateway, an innovative multimedia learning resource centre and the impressive new sports centre development, which has a large four-court sports hall and state-of- the-art fitness room. Carlisle offers a wide choice of facilities and social activities including trendy bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs, two cinema complexes, a theatre, live music venues and several sporting venues. There are many high-street shops and the larger shopping centres of Newcastle and Glasgow are easily reached. The city is easily accessed by road (via the M6 ) and there are excellent transport links with Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, London and other major cities.

Penrith Campus
Penrith is located in the north east corner of the Lake District, overlooking the magnificent Cumbria fells. The campus is in a beautiful rural setting about a mile outside the town. Set in landscaped gardens and with impressive facilities, the campus provides a delightful environment for both living and working. The outstanding facilities include a state-of-the-art library, new IT centre, science laboratories, the National Forestry Centre and the new Cumbria Academy for Animal Studies. There is also a new all-weather sports pitch and superb equine and forestry facilities. Just off the M6 and with its own mainline station, Penrith is easy to reach. This friendly town has lively restaurants and pubs, a cinema, nightclubs and a good range of high street and specialist shops. For even more extensive facilities, Carlisle is just 20 minutes’ drive away.

Ambleside Campus
Ambleside is set in the heart of the Lake District, close to Windermere, and surrounded by wonderful countryside. The campus, in the heart of the town, has two main buildings— the outdoor studies centre and the newly opened learning resource centre which houses the library, computing facilities and media suites. There are extensive sports facilities on and off campus, and students have access to the many activities on the lake. Ambleside is a bustling market town with many independent shops, pubs, bistros and restaurants. There are local clubs for virtually every interest and cinemas, theatres and sporting venues in the town and nearby. The nearest railway station is a 20-minute drive away at Windermere.

Lancaster Campus
Lancaster is a vibrant and cosmopolitan university city, home to around 15,000 students from all over the world. The town is in a great location, close to the sea, hills and mountains. The campus is just a ten minute walk from the town centre. It is largely self-contained, making it easy to live and study here. It has exceptionally good teaching facilities and a superb library. Sports facilities are outstanding with a state-of-the-art all weather pitch, £ 2.5 million sports complex, gymnastics centre and fitness centre. Students also have access, off campus, to an international athletics track and swimming pool. The historic town of Lancaster has all the high street stores as well as small specialist shops.
