There are two major placements, which we call Placement A and Placement B. Placement A takes place in the time period between university week 6 and week 22. Placement B takes place in the time period between weeks 27 and 39.
The Student Placement Unit will arrange your placements for the duration of your course with our partnership schools. These are normally confirmed in the first few weeks of your course.
IMPORTANT Due to the numbers of students we have to place, you may be required to travel up to 90 minutes each way to at least one of your placements whilst on course. For more information, read our placement policy.
Primary school placement Key Stage 2 – You must arrange to observe three days in a primary school prior to starting your course. A KS2 placement booklet will be provided to you at your Signing Day in Spring/early Summer. You must complete and bring this to the first week of your course.
