Course Summary
This course will provide you with knowledge and enhance your understanding of forms. Biopsychosocial model of health and health beliefs; health psychology; salutogenic approach; theories and models of health behaviour, health promotion and behaviour change; facilitating and inhibiting factors; predicting risk behaviour; policy drivers & practice guidelines; evidence based interventions for health promotion and behaviour change; ethical practice.

Intended Learning Outcomes
On successful completion, you will be able to:

Evaluate the biopsychosocial nature of health and human behaviour and apply to the practice of health promotion.

Critically explore a range of theories of health behaviour, behaviour change and health promotion

Demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of a range of evidence based interventions designed to influence health behaviours.

Develop a critical awareness of the significance of ethical theory and human right in health promotion practice.

Critically examine policy drivers and practice guidance in relation to behaviour change and health promotion practice.
