For your information there will be no more recruitment to the BSc (Hons) Advanced Nurse Practitioner programme. This follows a position statement from the Department of Health in November 2010 which has highlighted that practitioners who wish to develop clinical skills as a Nurse Practitioner need to be prepared at Masters level. We offer an exciting and challenging Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) Advanced Practice in Health and Social Care or the MSc Advanced Practice in Health and Social Care which will fulfil these requirements and allow you to practice as an Advanced Practitioner. Please contact Kathy Haigh (email: Kathryn.haigh@cumbria.ac.uk) for further information and entry requirements or visit the course page using the links above.

For students who wish to study at degree level we offer a diverse array of modules which can allow you to develop your practice along specific pathways and which may lead to specific awards such as a BSc (Hons) Degree or University Advanced Diploma. If you wish any further information on the development of clinical skills at degree level please contact Kay Donnellon (email: Kay.Donnellon@cumbria.ac.uk)
