Research and Enterprise at the University of Cumbria

The University of Cumbria is committed to excellence in research, enterprise and knowledge transfer through which it seeks to make connections with industries and communities in regional, national and international contexts. Through its legacy institutions, it has many years of experience of research and of creative partnerships with industry, government and other sectors in the economy.
 

Enterprise and knowledge transfer

Enterprise and knowledge transfer at the university is handled both through a specialist unit, Enterprise Services, and through enterprise activities in all of the university's five faculties. All of the enterprise initiatives draw upon a variety of specialist staff and researchers to provide a range of services to firms and employers, seeking to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship.

Research and Scholarship

The university boasts an active research culture in all of its faculties and is engaged in creating new research areas and developing collaborations with other universities, both at home and abroad. The university has an established Research Office and Graduate School and welcomes enquiries from prospective researchers  in a wide range of disciplines.
