University of Cumbria at Newton Rigg College, Penrith
Overlooking the magnificent Cumbria fells, we have over 170 rooms at the University of Cumbria at Newton Rigg, Penrith residences.
The campus is in a beautiful rural setting about a mile outside the town. With stunning gardens, arboretum forest and farmland it has great facilities with a sports centre (with brand new climbing wall) and modern library.
Penrith has a rich town centre with markets, independent shops and high street chains. Situated on the M6 motorway and West Coast rail line, there’s easy access to more extensive facilities in Carlisle and Lancaster. The Lake District National Park in particular offers excitement and challenges from walking the hills, climbing on the crags, or getting to grips with sailing.
Broadband internet is available at all our residences (through ethernet and/or wi-fi connection). On-site amenities include cash machines, laundry facilities, secure bicycle stores and recycling bins.
