What will you have to pay?

Postgraduate courses are split into four main groupings - MA, MSc standard, MSc Accelerated and MBA. Please ensure that you look at the right section as the course fees do vary.

All MA courses (excluding MA Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy)

For stand-alone modules the fees are payable in full at the start of the course, and are non-refundable.

MA Counselling and Psychotherapy

For courses which have a standard course duration which is longer than one year, fees will be split and invoiced on an annual basis. Fees for subsequent years of study are subject to an annual increase and therefore the full cost of the award will be slightly higher than the amount quoted.

Please note that the fees for the first two years are approximately £2,205 (subject to an inflationary increase), and the final year is approximately £1230 plus inflation. This is due to the professional element of the first two years requiring more intensive teaching.

Discount for current students about to graduate and alumni 

Graduates from the University of Cumbria or any of its legacy institutions may be eligible for a fee discount of up to £741 on postgraduate taught courses. To be eligible, you must be a UK or EU graduate who studied at the University of Cumbria or a legacy institution for more than 6 months.

Funding

The UK government does not usually fund students who are studying at postgraduate level. Some courses, for example Social Work and some Health Professions Masters degrees do attract some funding.
