Eligibility to graduate

Information about graduation ceremonies is sent out before results are published and the receipt of graduation information does not necessarily mean that you are eligible to graduate.
However, please don't wait until you receive your results before booking your place.
Am I eligible?
There are two situations that could affect your eligibility to graduate:
You have not successfully completed your course
To be eligible to attend the graduation ceremony you must:
-
have successfully completed your course and been awarded
-
not be subject to an investigation for academic malpractice
-
not have taken up the opportunity of a deferred assessment because of Extenuating Circumstances
-
have completed all TDA tests (teacher training students only) or notified the assessment team that you are accepting an award without QTS by 10 May 2012 for July 2012 ceremonies. If you complete TDA tests after this, it may still be possible for you to attend graduation but your name may not appear in the programme.
Please note: Your name may not appear in the graduation programme if point 4 above is still outstanding at the point of the final Assessment Board (UAB).
If you require this information in an alternative format, please contact us.
You owe money to the University
You are only eligible to attend the graduation ceremony if you have paid all outstanding academic related debt (including library fines) to the University of Cumbria.
This must be done by:
-
Monday 21 May for July 2012 ceremonies
If you make payment after this date, it may still be possible for you to attend graduation but your name may not appear in the programme.
Should you need to pay money, or if you are unsure whether you owe any money, please contact Student Finance.
