The main library is located on the top floor of the Skiddaw building at Fusehill. Its holdings focus on health, education and the social sciences and include a law library and a large teaching practice collection.
Additional flexible learning space is provided in the Learning Gateway.

Map of the campus
The university has created a new library space at the Brampton Road campus, as part of the continued re-investment into the site. This opened in September 2011. The facility is located at the front of the site, alongside the Main Reception, and provide access to university learning resources in the arts subject areas: books, media and journals. A range of arts resources will also continue to be available on site, via the new library facility which will increase the time these are available for sale.
The new facility has a wireless environment so students can connect their laptop to the internet and access digital library resources at the same time. There are also PC and study spaces to work in and quiet study spaces for individual study to complement other study spaces on site.
The library will be open during main study hours and have self service book loans and returns, so no need to queue.
