The Assessment Team is responsible for the administration of assessment and awards, including formal exams, professional body registrations and the issuing of certificates and transcripts. They are also responsible for managing the academic appeals, malpractice and extenuating circumstances processes. This team supports the University Assessment Boards where all marks are confirmed. The team is based at the Lancaster campus. Semester 2 Examinations Period (for modules taught in Semester 2 and Year long modules (in addition to resits from the Semester 1 exam period) will take place between:
Tuesday 8 May 2012 and Friday 18 May 2012 (inclusive)
Reassessment Examinations period will take place between Monday 20 August 2012 and Friday 24 August 2012 inclusive.
All students who are registered for an examinable module within designated examination periods will be contacted by their university and personal email accounts with details of the date, time and location of their examinations.

If you have been assessed for additional examination arrangements, your exam will take place on the same day and at the same time as displayed on the main timetable and you will be contacted via your university and personal email accounts at the same time as all other students taking the same module. You will be notified of date, time with details of the room in which you will take your exam and notified of any other arrangements which have been made for you.
Students sitting resit exams will be contacted separately.

You must arrive at the exam room at least 15 minutes before the start of your exam.
All students are required to bring their Cumbria Card to their examinations as proof of identification.

You are required to be silent fro
m the time you enter the examination room until the time you leave. Please be aware that when you leave there may still be other students in adjoining rooms whose examinations have not yet finished. Please follow all the instructions given to you by your invigilators.
If you submit an appeal after your examinations in relation to your academic performance, or are subject to an allegation of academic misconduct, it will be assumed that you were aware of the Student Code of Conduct for Examinations. It is very important that you take the time to read this information carefully.
Additional exam arrangements are made for students with disabilities or unforeseen medical circumstances, in line with the Equality Act 2010. A range of reasonable adjustments can be made in appropriate cases, e.g. separate rooms, computers, specialist software, large print papers, extra time and use of electronic devices.
