University Assessment Boards

The University has a two tier assessment process.  At the first tier, module marks are presented at the Module Assessment Board (MAB) for consideration. At the second tier, the University Assessment Board (UAB) considers each individual student’s profile of marks.

For continuing students the UAB determines whether students have met the requirements for progression to the next level of study and for completing students it determines the award outcome, including classification (if appropriate).

Further information on classification of awards and grade boundaries can be found in the Academic Regulations. Explanations of award titles, including exit awards, can be found in your programme handbook.
