Biography

Dwayne is course leader and senior lecturer of Illustration at the University of Cumbria Institute of the Arts. 

Currently Dwayne works primarily with Level 5 and level 6 students on the BA(Hons) Illustration course where his lifelong interest in illustration and 20 years of industry experience inform much of his teaching. 

As a professional illustrator and graphic artist, Dwayne has worked with many high-profile clients including The Guardian, The Financial Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros Music, Creative Review, Adidas & GQ. He has exhibited work in London, Moscow, Manchester, Leeds, Carlisle, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Dwayne also turned his daily sketching obsession into a postgraduate degree in Creative Practice, focusing on Reportage Illustration. 

In addition to drawing and illustration, Dwayne enjoys mountain biking and taking photos of himself trying on masks in the toy sections of shops up and down the land.
