The Future of the University In the Face of Climate Crisis

Since its release in the summer of 2018, Professor Bendell's  Deep Adaptation paper has been downloaded over half a million times. He has been supporting a shift in the climate agenda to one that prepares for an imminent collapse of many key systems, including agriculture. Drawing on his forthcoming book on Deep Adaptation, in this talk Professor Bendell will share thoughts on the implications  of disruptive climate change for Universities and academics.  

Dr Bendell is a Professor of Sustainability Leadership, founder of the Initiative for Leadership and Sustainability. A consultant, researcher and educator on social & organisational change, with 25 years experience in sustainable development. Specialising in leadership, strategic communications, and currency innovation in the context of deep adaptation to climate chaos. With 100+ published texts on sustainable development and involvement in co-creating key initiatives, recognised as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.
