Exploring issues of history, culture and environment.

Abstract: In this lecture I will trace my early art practice from issues of ´belonging´ through ideas of rich, liminal zones and apparent ´nothingness´ in conceptions of white landscapes and the north.  I will discuss how post-colonial and feminist theories moulded my relationship to lens-based media and in turn, through the collaboration of Snæbjörnsdóttir/Wilson, how in the making of art the framing of any beings or 'natural' elements requires an ethical consideration of ecological integrity.

Everyone welcome to attend, come to recption at the Brampton Road campus and you will be shown where the Lecture theatre is.
