Spinning the Wheel' - Police Operational Decision Making

Making decisions in Policing is a dynamic and complex process - the decisions that Police Officers make can have a profound effect on the lives of the people they come into contact with.

The use of the National Decision Model (NDM) is designed to provide Officers with a framework for decision making at the tactical/operational and strategic levels, and can be used to demonstrate why a particular course of action was taken in any set of circumstances.

The class will introduce students to the NDM, and will give them an understanding of how it works, both in action and in the follow up stages of an incident.

You will be awarded 16 UCAS points** for attending this masterclass.
