Are you looking for a career capable of making a real difference to people’s lives every single working day?
We are working in partnership with North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS and Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust at Cumberland Hospital so you can have hands on experience within a hospital environment.
The day is linked with a nursing recruitment day so you will be part of a fantastic event where you will get chance to have a chat with loads of different children’s, community, mental health and midwifery as well as acute nurses at different points of their career. Plus hospital recruitment staff, the University’s lecturers and current students about the nursing degree course.
- Linda Bennetts from Carlisle Partnership Cumbria Partnership Foundation Trust and Angela Dobson from North Cumbria Univeristy Hospitals will open the day.
- Dr Louise Nelson - Head of Department, Nursing, Health and Professional Practice Department, University of Cumbria will give a presentation on what the degree course entails, covering study, placements, finance and the inside story of being a student nurse.
- Other exciting activities will include workshops, simulation games, interviews for University of Cumbria nursing degree courses, and tours round both the Cumberland Hospital, Carlisle and/or West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven (transport will be provided).
If you like what you see and have the right qualifications you will have the opportunity to be interviewed at the end of the day for the degree course. Potential applicants should bring along their academic qualifications and ID.
