2017 is an exciting time for the University of Cumbria Law School, and you are invited to be involved in the many upcoming developments.
On 20th June 2017, local employers are invited to engage with the Law School in discussions about working together to bridge the gaps in legal skills and knowledge in our local and regional economy and industry. Your opinions are invaluable to us, so we would like you to come along and contribute to these conversations.
To compliment our existing provision in law, we are developing one and two day courses for start ups, enterprises, the rural & visitor economy and professional skills for our business partners. In order to ensure that our courses are relevant to your business needs, whether this is in the form of a short online course in any aspect of law or regulation, or training on your business premises, we are keen to hear from you.
Higher Level Apprenticeships in Law
Further, with the introduction of the apprenticeship levy in 2017 bringing a whole new approach to apprenticeships and workplace learning, the Law School is keen to work with employers to identify whether there is anything we can do to assist you in the future success of your business.
There will also be an opportunity to ask our staff any questions you may have surrounding the apprenticeship levy and what it means for your business.
It is important to us that you are able to make the most of higher apprenticeship opportunities to bridge the gaps in any law-related skills or knowledge, so we encourage you to have your input.
