Playing games in Mathematics
Using a variety of problem solving games and strategies to address everyday mathematical problems in an educational environment, the role of an educator is essential in developing young people's skills.
How can primary schools teachers manage to tailor their maths lessons to every student in their class, without writing 30 different lesson plans? It's about the skills we teach the student that allows them to tailor their own approaches to a variety of mathematical problems, and hence to other life problems.
We use mathematics evey day of our life in all sorts of situations, including estimations, mental maths and problem solving. This masterclass will demonstrate how we as educators can support students in learning these skills for themselves.
Attendees at these masterclasses will receive a reduced offer of up to 16 points for future applications to related University of Cumbria courses. Click below for full Terms and Conditions.
