Cumbrian film-maker Terry Abraham has produced a trilogy of celebrated documentaries, each focusing upon the 'Life of a Mountain’ - their landscapes and communities. In 2014 the first documentary profiled Scafell Pike (2014) and this was followed by Blencathra (2016). The programmes have since garnered awards, widespread critical acclaim from the national press and have been seen by millions of viewers on the BBC. The final instalment, ‘Life of a Mountain: Helvellyn’ is due to finish production in Spring 2020 with its premiere in May 2020.

This exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to see behind the scenes and learn more about how the documentaries were planned and produced. Exhibits will include film and photography by Terry Abraham and his production team members, who were BA Wildlife Media students at the University of Cumbria, Paul Bacon and Nathan Buckley.

Associated events include an exhibition preview event and public lecture by Terry Abra-ham. Details on The Vallum Gallery social media Facebook and Twitter.
