Join our business Masterclass presented by Dr Erica Lewis to celebrate international women’s day and discuss Women in Leadership.

This International Women's Day, join women leader's across the north-west as we build a conversation weaving together academic analysis and lived experience to strengthen our own and each other’s practice of leadership.

As feminist leaders we face a triple challenge to:

  • claim a seat at the table
  • exercise power in decision making
  • change what is being focused on & who is part of the discussion

No wonder we are tired. But International Women's Day remembers the collective action of women workers and in solidarity there is strength and joy.

Our facilitator for this discussion will be Cllr Dr Erica Lewis. Erica is uniquely placed to shape this conversation. As an academic, Erica is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Entrepreneurship at the University of Cumbria Institute of Business, Industry and Leadership. As a practitioner, she is the Leader of Lancaster City Council and one of the key voices in local discussions about local government reorganisation and devolution. Spanning the local to global, Erica also serves as a member of the board of the World YWCA, a grassroots-driven, global movement rooted in the leadership of women, young women and girls in more than 100 countries.
