Ambleside to host 'Major Incident' exercise

Around 80 forensicparamedic and policing students are taking part in an exercise at the University of Cumbria today and tomorrow (Thurs 1st and Fri 2nd).

Fictional crimes are committed making use of the wide variety of realistic settings at the Ambleside campus.

The students, guided by fifteen staff, alumni and serving professionals, are challenged with collecting evidence and making arrests.

The two-day exercise has been praised nationally and has now been adopted by other universities. Last year the forensic and investigative science course received accreditation by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences.
