Successful ceremonies mark summer graduation
Proud parents and friends have joined thousands of students who’ve graduated from the University of Cumbria this week.
The first students to graduate as part of the innovative Project Academy; a record seven first class honours graduates passing from the National School of Forestry – just two success stories of many more recorded during the eight ceremonies to take place in the magnificent setting of Carlisle Cathedral.
Honorary Fellows from culture and design to business and medicine were recognised for their contribution to life in Cumbria with a number maintaining links to mentor and encourage the students of tomorrow.
And while the graduation is seen as signalling the end of a link with the university, students may well be returning to embark on one of a range of post graduate courses run across all campuses.
