UCAS fair hosted by University of Cumbria in Carlisle
Nearly 1000 school pupils are poised to descend on Carlisle next week for the North and West Cumbria Higher Education Exhibition which for the first time is being held at the University of Cumbria’s Fusehill Street campus.
Pupils from 15 schools and colleges across Cumbria, Lancashire and the North East are set to visit the campus on Monday 2 July to find more about their routes into higher education.
Over 95 different universities, colleges and industry representatives are exhibiting from all over the UK and abroad.
With inspirational talks, topical seminars, application process advice, and interactive stands, pupils will be able to find out what life is like on a university campus, and ask current students from a range of universities what it’s really like to study a certain subject.
“We are delighted to be hosting the higher education exhibition for the first time at our Fusehill Street campus in Carlisle. The university is dedicated to increasing the opportunities for everyone to access higher education. By hosting this exhibition it means that we are bringing impartial advice to more people and helping them to make their dreams a reality” said Carly Scott, UK Recruitment Manager at the University of Cumbria.
She continued “Whether it’s about kick-starting research or refining choices, there’s something for everyone at the UCAS exhibition.”
The exhibition runs from 9.30pm until 3pm on Monday 2 July. Places are free and people are encouraged to book online in advance.
