The University of Cumbria will be exhibiting at one of the north’s biggest business gatherings later this week.
The Lancashire Business Expo is being held on Friday 24 March at the Guild Hall in Preston. The annual event attracts over 2,000 business delegates and offers an opportunity to meet some of the region’s leading professionals.
Delegates representing a diverse range of Lancashire businesses from I.T. and printing to education and health will be there.
“We’re delighted to be able to take part in an event which offers us the chance to meet so many of Lancashire’s employers under one roof,” said Steve Wood, the University of Cumbria’s Lancaster-based development manager. “With new Higher Level and Degree Apprenticeships on offer here, it’s a great opportunity for us to talk to employers about the opportunities this offers.”
Staff from the university will also be interested in discussing possible collaborations between academics and businesses.
“Business and academia have long had great links which have resulted in some exciting breakthroughs at all levels and we’re always interested in exploring innovative ways of working,” said Steve.
