The University of Cumbria’s Vice Chancellor will be guest speaker at an annual event held by the Institute of Directors (IoD) in the heart of the Lake District.
Professor Julie Mennell will also be accompanied by apprentices who are studying at the University of Cumbria aboard a cruise on Windermere organised by the Cumbrian branch of the IoD.
The apprentices will showcase their experiences of working with businesses in the region at the event to be held on July 6.
“Besides looking forward to hearing Professor Mennell speak, I’m really pleased that we have a number of apprentices on board from the University of Cumbria who will showcase their work,” Chris Ward, the IoD's Cumbrian branch chair said. "Business leaders will get a first-hand opportunity to see the breadth and depth of cost-effective, apprenticeship programmes available to unlock local talent.”
Both members and non-members are invited to attend the event.
