How do I join the alumni association?

You are automatically a member when you graduate from UoC. For those who graduated from Charlotte Mason, St. Martin’s College or Cumbria Institute of the Arts you are our alumni too. There are no joining or membership fees.

How can I update the alumni association if I move, or change jobs?

Click here or simply drop us an email. We would love to stay in touch with you.

What does the alumni association do with my data?

We store all alumni information on our database. We use this data to keep in touch with you, to send you details about university news, events and opportunities you may be interested in. You can opt out of communications at any time. Data is also used within the university for statistical purposes and in the annual DLHE government survey.

We would never sell your data nor pass it to any third parties without your written consent.

I have lost/damaged my degree certificate/transcript, can I get a replacement?

I am planning a reunion, can I hold an event on campus?

Yes, we would be delighted to help you plan your event. No event too small or large! Visit our dedicated reunions page here where you can download our Guide to Reunions, then get in touch to discuss further.

I am trying to get back in touch with an old friend, can you help?

Yes, we can try! We cannot give out data without permission, but we can forward on any messages if we hold their contact details.

I am considering coming back to UoC for further study, what can you advise?

Excellent! Have a good look through the course search on our webpages and get in touch with the enquiry centre, email or telephone 0333 920 9912. Don’t forget that alumni who graduated within the last 5 years may be eligible for a 20% discount off some course fees.

I am having difficulty in applying for jobs, can you help?

As a graduate you get up to 3 years support from our Careers and Employability Service. They offer expert advice via email, skype, phone or face to face at any of our campus locations. Get in touch with them here.

I am considering setting up my own business, can you offer advise and support?

Yes, get in touch with our student enterprise co-ordinator to discuss.

I graduated recently but still haven't received my photos, when will I get them?

All (official) graduation photography was taken by the company Ede & Ravenscroft, you can find their contact details here. It states on the Ede & Ravenscroft website photographs will be sent 4-6 weeks after the date of your graduation.

I'm a former staff member of UoC/SMC/CIA etc, can I join the alumni association?

Yes of course! We welcome former staff into the association. As a staff-alumnus you will receive all our communications and invites to events etc. However as a staff-alumnus you may not be eligible for the same discounts and benefits as our student alumni.

A relative came to UoC, do you have any old documents that might mention them?

The alumni association does hold an archive collection of memorabilia, prospectuses and old photos from our legacy institutions. Please get in touch for more information.
