Bright Futures Fund 2015: Regular Giving Campaign

The Bright Futures Fund enables students to be involved in inspirational and unique experiences: raising aspirations, nurturing career ambitions and shaping personal development. Over 96% of our school-leaver, full-time undergraduate students are from state secondary schools and colleges, with a third of these from the lowest socio-economic groups.

The experiences therefore, offered by the Bright Futures Fund, are crucially important to our student body, many of whom may struggle to afford to engage in additional activities outside their course programme. Yet it is these standout experiences, such as performing in a West End theatre, meeting industry professionals, or gaining key insights and training into specific careers, which can really make a difference to a student’s time during and after University.

Donors that support the Bright Futures Fund (BFF) through regular giving make a direct impact on our students and set them on a path towards success, and the case studies featured in our donor newsletters evidence this.

In 2015, we want to increase our annual Bright Futures Fund target, enabling more students to receive support, whilst also expanding the range of activities and experiences on offer. For this to be sustainable, and to continue to increase our impact, we need individual donors who will commit to giving regularly.

We are grateful for those that already give in this way and for those that have given one-off gifts. As part of the campaign, James Hodge, the University’s Development Officer is seeking to encourage more donors to regularly support the fund, and may be in touch with you over the next few months.
