Education Courses
You will be asked to complete a medical clearance questionnaire which will ascertain your fitness for your course. This is a confidential form which you must complete online when sent the email from our Occupational Health Provider.
Once you have completed the online form, if further medical investigation is required, the Occupational Health Department will contact you directly.
Institute of Health courses

All Health students will also go through a series of blood tests and vaccinations. These are required to be fit to go on placement and you are required to attend all appointments.

In addition to medical clearance all applicants must be able to meet course core competencies throughout their training. If you feel that this is relevant to you and you have specific physical or other needs that will need support we would encourage you to declare these by completing a self-disclosure outlining any complex requirements you have. This will be available if you accept your offer and will allow us to consider your needs and how best to support you.
In a small number of cases an applicant might be invited to attend an interview with the university professional practice panel who will discuss and recommend appropriate reasonable adjustments and whether core competencies are achievable. If you feel this is relevant to you we would encourage you to complete the self-disclosure form.
