Welcome to your course

Welcome to the BA(Hons) Wildlife Media. We are all looking forward to meeting you when you arrive and also working with you over the next three years.

During Welcome Week, there will be a lot of information about the course and university life imparted to you in a short amount of time. You will have the opportunity to view previous students' work to give you an idea of what you are aiming at. You will have the chance to meet and socialise with students from your course and other courses. There will be a number of organised activities, which include a visit to an important RSPB wildlife site (cost approx £25), BBQ (cost £5.00) and a city visit (cost approx £10). Please note these costs are estimates and may change. Hopefully the weather will be good, but make sure you have with you a waterproof jacket and boots with sturdy soles suitable for walking in the countryside for the wildlife site visit.

We are also aware that there are things you will need to do in what may be your first week away from home, so you will see on your timetable that some free time has been included to enable you to prepare for the start of teaching the following week.

Rather than reading (other than the manuals) practice capturing media and editing. There are plenty of free software packages to practice with i.e. Lightworks etc
