This short course provides the update required by the NMC for all mentors. As well as being a generic up-date
it also covers cytology mentorship update.
If you are a Primary Care or Community Nurse this short course will address your learning needs in mentorship required by the NMC for generic and cytology updates.
Learning outcomes
- Identify theories of learning and teaching used within mentorship to facilitate learning within practice settings
- Demonstrate principles of assessment and apply these to learners in practice settings with consideration to accountability and responsibility
- Describe the management and organisational issues involved in mentorship within practice settings
- Review the NMC (2008) ‘Standards to support learning and assessment in practice’ criteria required to maintain mentor registration.
