Event Overview
The Future Teachers Programme is built to give students thinking about teaching the experience and knowledge required to make an informed decision about whether a career in teaching is the right choice.
The Future Teachers is a programme of activity, delivered on our campuses, for students in Year 12 or on a Level 3, Year 1 college course. The programme is delivered at three University of Cumbria campuses that are home to the Institute of Education: Carlisle Fusehill Street, Lancaster and London.
Through our on-campus discovery day, participants will engage in subject tasters and gain insight into what it's like studying to become a Future Teacher.

What you get:
Learn practical teaching skills in interactive and discovery sessions on-campus.
Meet the course tutors and current students in your closest campus in either Carlisle, Lancaster or London.
Put your new skills to the test in a mock interview.
Complete the programme with a Future Teachers Certificate

You will also receive a UCAS Point reduction when applying to a University of Cumbria teacher training programme: Primary Education and Early Years (3-11) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR Primary Education: Inclusion with SEND with QTS (5-11 years)*T&Cs apply.
