Our Creative Writing and English Literature courses are based on a dedicated and creative arts campus within Carlisle’s thriving literary scene.

91.7% of our graduates are in work or further study within six months of graduating (DLHE 2017).

Our courses are unique, surrounded by landscapes which inspired some of Britain's literary greats. You’ll take fieldtrips and have the opportunity to work with organisations such as The National Trust and Dove Cottage. We also take a modern approach to our courses, equipping our students with skills such as writing copy for websites and web design.

Our experienced staff have professional backgrounds in relevant areas and maintain their own practice, often with links in industry. We also invite visiting professors onto campus, to give you industry leading knowledge and networking opportunities.
