Biography

Adrian worked as a primary teacher and leader for a number of years in Lancashire before returning as a lecturer at St Martin's College (now University of Cumbria) where he trained.

PhD, MA Education, Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy, Associate fellow of the OU Centre for Literacy and Social Justice, Professional Affiliate of the Chartered College of Teaching

Academic and research interests

Creative approaches to teaching writing Teacher-in-role and drama as a scaffold for learning. Teacher education pedagogy.

Research supervision

Adrian supervises colleagues working towards fellow and senior fellow (HEA status), He supervises MA dissertation students and is part of supervisory teams for PhD students.
