Biography

Joined UOC in 2007 after 20 years of teaching chemistry and science in secondary school. Other school roles included subject leadership, mentor for ITE students and teacher governor. My role at the university was until recently programme leader for the secondary School Direct PGCE. I am curently the link tutor to the Great Sankey School Direct Alliance. I also deliver sessions on chemistry and science teaching to science PGCE students and generic educational sessions to Lancaster based PGCE students. Curently also doing some GCSE chemistry intervention work in a local school and NQT support in local schools.

I was also an A level Chemistry examiner with AQA for many years and have also examined at GCSE and Key Stage 3 SATS.
