Biography

Sally Thompson joined the University of Cumbria in 2019 as a part time Lecturer on the Paramedic CPD programme. Prior to joining UoC, she worked as a Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University for eight and a half years where she was a programme lead, module lead and cohort lead as well as a mentor to her colleagues and pastoral tutor to her students. She qualified as an IHCD paramedic with North West Ambulance Service in 2007 having joied as an Ambulance Technician in 2003.

Sally has extensive experience in programme design at Cert HE, Diploma and BSc level and a keen eye for detail. She is dedicated to the development and support of her students and has been nominated several times for a Student Led Staff award in her previous role.
