About the programme

Our programme provides leaders with on-the-job learning at a degree level standard. Those with the responsibility for teams, projects, operations or services will have the opportunity to learn the hottest trends in management. On completion, apprentices will be awarded a Level 6 Management Degree with Chartered Management Institute (CMI) status.

BA (Hons) Management and Leadership follows the CMI apprenticeship syllabus which leads to the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA). It works in conjunction with employers, so apprentices will work on assessments which are authentic and realistic to their workplace, with their environment providing the context in which they can develop their skills.

The programme values the diversity of students' abilities and backgrounds and seeks to enhance their collective capacity. It's ideal for managers, senior managers, heads of department, operations managers or anyone with significant management responsibilities.

The majority of the programme will take place at your place of employment, however you will also spend at least 20% of time away from the workplace studying at our Carlisle - Fusehill Street campus.
