Head Start is a short online course designed to bridge the gap into Higher Education. 89% of respondents who completed Head Start in 2017 stated that it had helped them feel more confident about studying at University.
The aim of this module is to equip you with the detailed knowledge of the requirements of health surveillance and systematic critical understanding of the practice of health surveillance in the workplace, including the limitations of screening processes in the detection of occupational disease.
We provide the support you need to focus your scientific skills towards helping others. Our course will help you start work within a medical physics department and allow you to care for others through work in the laboratory.
Our Healthcare Science Degree Apprenticeship programme – run under the Department of Health’s framework of the Modernising Scientific Careers programme and accredited by the National School for Healthcare Science – will prepare apprentices for an exciting career in fields such as cancer care, radiotherapy or nuclear medicine.
This module will aid in the care of patients with multiple long term conditions by increasing awareness and knowledge of the learner enabling a holistic approach to be used.
Holistic Assessment of the Complex Patient with Long Term Conditions (level 7) will help you develop detailed knowledge and understanding in the holistic assessment of patients who have complex health needs in relation to long term conditions.
