We know you’re passionate about helping children, so we provide support from expert academic and clinical practice staff to show you how to get started. With our children's nursing programme, you'll get started straight away with placement opportunities and graduate fully prepared for practice as a registered paediatric nurse.
Our part time course will prepare nurses, midwives and health visitors as independent prescribers. You'll learn to consult effectively with patients and carers, assessing their needs and wishes through understanding the signs and symptoms of the presenting complaint.
This is an exciting programme of study which, on successful completion, allows students to seek to have their qualification recorded by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and to practise as an Independent Nurse Prescriber (V300).
In the most recent DLHE (Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education) survey, 100% of graduates were in employment or further education within 6 months of graduating.
