The aim of this module is to enable you to achieve an in depth awareness and critical viewpoint about the issues underpinning the safeguarding of children agenda and the importance of multi agency working to this area of expertise.

You will need to complete an induction prior to commencement of your first module. We have a comprehensive online induction package to welcome you to both the University and your programme of study. Alternatively classroom-based induction days take place at our Lancaster and Carlisle campuses and are usually scheduled for the first week of each semester.

The running of this module is dependent on there being sufficient numbers of interest.

Trainee teachers who are soon to graduate are behind a scheme to support parents and families amid uncertainty about pupils returning to school. More than 30 University of Cumbria final year Early Years, Primary and Secondary teacher training students are running a daily service for any parent or carer seeking help, advice or fresh ideas on how to make learning fun and meaningful for their children. The Homeschooling Support scheme is free and can be found on Facebook.
