Course Overview

The programme will enhance your ability to complete a detailed assessment of the deteriorating or critically ill adult and provide you with the appropriate knowledge base to anticipate problems, thus enhancing your ability to manage the patient accordingly.

As you develop within the programme you will gain the skills and expertise to critically analyse situations and clinical presentations, approaching the patient holistically whilst meeting the needs of their family and significant others.

Graduate destinations

Following the completion of this 60 credit award at level 6 UADip Acute & Critical Care: Practice Development, the framework facilitates seamless progression to the BSc (Hons) Practice Development and subsequent progress to Level 7 study. Your development in confidence and competence on completion of the course will enhance your leadership skills and the provision of safe high-quality care for your patients and their families. Developing your clinical role and expertise as you progress within your career in the Acute/Critical Care environment.
