Graduate Employability Support Programme
The North West Graduate Employability Support Programme was a partnership of eight North West universities led by the University of Cumbria. The programme was initially granted funding by the European Social Fund (ESF) in 2009 to develop, test and pilot a range of activities to support graduate employability in the region. The project was subsequently successful in a bid for extension funding, bringing the total value to £5M, of which 50% was match funded by the partner institutions.
At its conclusion in July 2013, the project has supported over 1800 graduates and final year students, has built lasting relationships with its partners and stakeholders, mainstreamed best practice and brought learning into the North West of England from the programme’s transnational partners based in Germany, France, Spain and Belgium.
