Biography

I joined the University of Cumbria in November 2021 as a Lecturer in medical imaging, having previously worked clinically as a Diagnostic Radiographer for 13 years.

I teach on the undergraduate and apprenticeship programmes, my modules being ‘Focussed Radiological Practice’; giving the students the opportunity to explore other imaging modalities, thinking about the patient pathway in a wider context.

I specialise in cross sectional imaging with this being my area of expertise.

Since joining UoC I have completed my PgC Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and I am now undertaking my Masters in Education Professional Practice – Higher Education.

Academic and research interests

My academic interests lie within simulated learning and cross-sectional imaging at undergraduate level. I also have an interest in post qualification preceptorships within the clinical setting, I would love to undertake research in this field at some point in the future. I am currently focussing my Masters research proposal on simulated learning withing Diagnostic Radiography.
