Biography

I did my undergraduate degree in Nursing at Kings College London and an MSc in Community Nursing at the Royal College of Nursing in conjunction with the University of Manchester.

I worked at Oxford Brookes 2000-2024 on both the undergraduate nursing programmes and the postgraduate Advanced and Specialist Practice programmes as deputy programme lead.

I joined the University of Cumbria as a senior lecturer for Advanced Clinical Practice in March 2024.

I have a clinical background in Orthopaedics, Gerontology, and Urgent Care as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.

I am a committee member and  ACP Apprenticeship End Point Assessment lead for the Association of Advanced Practice Educators (AAPEUK) and chair the EPAO network for the ACP apprenticeship hosted by AAPEUK.

I am an EQA Apprenticeship Assessor for the Office for Students.
